Affiliated Ocala Heart Institute Hospitals

The Ocala Heart Institute began its affiliation with Munroe Regional Medical Center in 1988. As the Ocala Heart and Vascular Institute has grown, we now have many affiliated hospitals throughout Florida in addition to Ocala with locations in Leesburg, Citrus, Venice, Winter Haven and Stuart.

Excellence in Heart Procedures – Top 50

Year after year our doctors and affiliated hospitals gain recognition and receive numerous awards for excellence in the work they perform. The cardiac program in Venice has been recognized for four consecutive years as a Top 100 Cardiovascular program nationally, and this year, both Venice and Stuart are both rated in the Top 50 Hospitals for Heart Care by Thomson Reuters, a well-respected independent medical rating company.

What does it mean to be in the Top 50?

The study showed that the top cardiovascular hospitals surpassed averages with better risk-adjusted survival rates, lower complication indices, fewer patients readmitted within 30 days of discharge, shorter hospital visits and lower costs than those not in the Top 50.

During hospitalization, you are visited frequently by members of our team who are involved in the planning and implementation of your care, and our physicians are on call 24 hours a day.
